Anas' Tiger Eye searches for new venue for Galamsey Economy premiere

Tiger Eye P.I. was advised that the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) would not be available for use on Monday (November 14) and Tuesday, forcing it to scramble to locate a replacement location for the premiere of its investigative documentary titled "Galamsey Economy" (November 15, 2022).

Tiger Eye P.I. stated in a statement released today that the administration of the AICC told it that the venue was no longer available for usage on the specified dates, 24 hours before the first showing at 5 p.m. on Monday.

It claimed that despite last-minute price increases of around 30%, it had previously satisfied all requirements of AICC to utilize the location, including paying for the venue.

Tiger Eye further stated that it was looking for a new location and that all tickets that were "already out" would still be valid there.

Tiger Eye expressed sadness that it had to look for a new location just 48 hours before the public screenings, despite having invited members of the diplomatic community and other high-profile members of society and distributed flyers to the general public.

"We sincerely apologize to the general audience for the difficulty caused by the location change. Another auditorium is being secured by our agency, and we will inform the public as soon as it is available.

"All already sold out tickets are good for the new venue."
