3 farmers were detained in the Savannah region for consuming suspected human flesh |
The Sawla police have detained three farmers from Nasoyiri in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah area for consuming allegedly human flesh.
According to reports, the three prepared what they believed to be chimpanzee flesh that had been burned by bushfires on their property.
They had a fourth person with them who looked at the flesh and thought it may be human meat.
The three farmers then went to Jentilpe's landowners for cleansing, but the landlords turned them in and called the police.
Police are currently doing their investigations.
According to the local assemblyman, Bagbol Eridon Eric, who verified the story to Citi News, the farmers claimed they discovered the meat was human after eating some of it.
