15,517 qualified educators have been assigned to Ghana's national service program.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Management has announced postings for 15,517 qualified teachers.

The qualified instructors signed up to perform their required national duty during the service year 2023–2024.

"The Management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has today, 20th January 2023, released postings of a total of FIFTY THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED AND SEVENTEEN (15,517) trained teachers who enrolled to undertake their mandatory national service for the 2023/2024 service year," according to a statement signed by the NSS Executive Director, Osei Assibey Antwi.

The statement also instructed the certified instructors to visit its website to confirm their placements.


"All qualified trained teachers must visit the NSS website at https://www.nss.gov.gh to check their placements and print their appointment letters for the approval of the appropriate user agencies. At all NSS regional centers around the nation, prospective service personnel regional validation and registration will start on January 20 and end on February 28, 2023, according to the announcement.

The statement urged deployed service members to accept their postings.


"All deployed military members are thus requested to accept their postings as part of their civic obligations and contributions to national development," said the statement. The Management sends its warmest greetings to everyone.

The announcement did add that aspiring service members should start their national service on February 6, 2023.

The statement said, "The Management additionally urges all prospective service employees to commence their national service on February 6, 2022, upon completion of the registration procedure."
