In a recent political development, Sam George was re-elected as Ningo-Prampram's parliamentary candidate. On May 13, 2023, the news was posted on the Citi Newsroom website.

Sam George, who has been representing Ningo-Prampram in the House of Representatives since 2017, ran for the role of parliamentary candidate once more and won. In the 2019 legislative elections, he will now run as a candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

After the party held its internal primaries, the Electoral Commission made the statement. Sam George defeated his nearest challenger, who received 25% of the vote, to win with a resounding 70% of the total votes cast.

Sam George thanked the residents of Ningo-Prampram for their support and vowed to do more to advance the district. He also expressed his gratitude to the NDC's leadership for their faith in him.

In Ghana's Greater Accra Region, the Ningo-Prampram constituency is seen as a swing one because it has historically been won by both the NDC and the New Patriotic Party (NPP). The two biggest political parties are anticipated to compete vigorously in the next parliamentary elections in 2024.
