All UEW Fresh Students Receive a Message From The Vice Chancellor of UEW |
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba, Professor Mawutor Avoke, has sent some messages to all new students.
Welcome Message to the Fresh Student is one of Professor Avoke's messages to the new students. It is intended as a message of support for new students as they begin their time at the university.
Here is his whole welcome remarks.
"It is with great honor and pleasure that I welcome the esteemed freshmen and sophomores to the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) for the academic year 2022-2023.
"You are one of the fortunate few to have been admitted to our esteemed institution, which has a special mandate to train the professional educators of the right caliber necessary to drive and steer the nation's development agenda toward swift economic and social progress. I want to congratulate you on winning the competitive selection process on behalf of Management. Let me reassure you that choosing to enroll at UEW was a strategic and professional move because the knowledge and concepts you will acquire there will undoubtedly prepare you to become capable, result-driven, and responsible people prepared to contribute your fair share to efforts to change and have an impact on society.
"I kindly request that each of you make the most of the new opportunities our university is offering to achieve your academic objectives. I also urge you to make full use of all of the materials provided here in order to fulfill your academic goals. Let me conclude by reminding everyone that there is a resurgence of the pandemic, so following the COVID-19 safety protocols, which have been our savior, should be the way to go. These protocols include wearing face masks, regularly washing and sanitizing hands, maintaining physical immunity by exercising regularly and eating healthily, as well as keeping decent social distances. If you ever feel ill, don't hesitate to contact the right authorities. You can get the help you need from the University Clinic and other affiliated offices and departments.
