Rema explains why he gave his mother everything after he earned his first N1M at the age of 17.

Divine Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema, explains why he handed his mother everything when he earned his first million naira at the age of 17.

On their Facebook page on Sunday, the Vanguard news platform shared a story regarding this incident.

This was allegedly mentioned by singer Rema in a recent interview with Z100 New York.

Rema outlined his justifications, claiming that his mother required the money the most and that he shouldn't have been allowed to drive while his mother was without a vehicle.

He remarked, "I knew my mother needed it more than anybody else. In keeping with this, I gave her everything I had. I remember when I was 17 and thought it was great to cruise the city in a cool whip. No matter what investments she makes, I'm leaving all of that up to her. At the age of 17, I earned my first million Naira, but I eventually earned more than a million.
