The John Dramani Mahama campaign would give each National Democratic Congress (NDC) delegate GH 40 to help them reach to the polling booths for Saturday's presidential and parliamentary primaries.

It is reported that Professor Joshua Alabi, John Dramani Mahama's campaign manager, said, "There must be no discrimination in the disbursement of the GH40 per delegate T&T money."

The amount won't serve as a replacement for what the party will offer, according to a statement issued by John Dramani Mahama's office on May 12.

In a statement, Mr. Mahama's spokesperson Joyce Bawa Mogtari said, "The Campaign believes supporting the delegates to travel to the centers will ensure a high voter turnout and every voter will be empowered to vote and return home without financial impediment in these difficult economic times."

Candidates for the NDC elections in 2024 will be selected through nationwide primaries on Saturday, May 13.

The process nearly came to a halt when Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, one of the flagbearer candidates, filed a lawsuit in the Accra High Court to enjoin the election.

He withdrew his case and subsequently his campaign on Friday, May 12.

In order to determine who would represent the NDC in 2024, Kojo Bonsu, his appointee, and former president Mahama will face off against one another.
